Any workers in the church. The Christian work is to be faithful and approved by their Pastor.
A class of gospel misnistry. One who shows ability to minister the word and some degree of leadership. Exhorters permits will be granted especially to those laymen in local assemblies who may assist the pastor in opening of and caring for, dependent working and upon who recommendation they may received may be working upon whose recommendation they may have received their papers. This credential is not necessarily a step toward full ministry.
Those who give clear evidence of divine call and have received practical experience in evangelistic or pastoral work, and whose evident purpose is to devote their entire time to the work of the ministry, will be eligible for a license to preach. This credential is a specific class of ministry and is not necessarily a step toward ordination.
Those of mature experience and qualifications, who are able to undertake the responsibilities of the Full Gospel Ministry, and whose ministry is acceptable generally, and conformity with district regulations governing candidates for ordinations, may be granted full ordination. All ordinations shall take place under the authority for the General Board.
Our credentials officially recognize a preacher's God given ministry, which has already been proven. These credentials are given in order that our ministers may have the benefit of equal rights before the law and in business with ministers of other groups. We require our ministers to have proven ministry. We also give fellowship cards to Christian workers.
Christian Workers credentials may be issued to a person who has a call on his or her life to work for the Lord in some field other than that of preaching, pastoring, or evangelizing. This will be any volunteer that serves in the church.
Exhorter credentials may be issued to a person working part-time, who is not supported through his or her ministry; a person who is working under the leadership of a more mature minister. This credential is to be used by all those who have felt the call to preach, and who are just starting out in the ministry. With this credential they may preach, hold revivals, or do other religious work of any type, under the direction of a Licensed or Ordained minister.
License to Preach credentials may be issued to those who are working part-time or full-time as a pastor or evangelist, conducting regular services. These credentials must be used after approval of an application.
Ordination credentials may be issued to those who have been pastors or evangelists for two years or more. Applicants for this credential must have a mature and proven ministry.
In every case an applicant's life must be above reproach. Also, each applicant must believe in the teaching of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:1-4. Applications are considered individually and prayerfully by the committee.
